Description

Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This Kiawah Island vacation rental offers 4 bedrooms, a private plunge pool, and is a 5-minute walk to the beach.

The kitchen has granite counters, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, a butcher block island/breakfast bar with seating for two, and everything you will need to prepare meals during your stay. The dining area has a table with seating for six and has access to the screened porch. The main living area has vaulted, trussed ceilings, leather chairs, large sofa, and large windows overlooking the pool.

The first-floor master suite offers a king-sized bed and a luxurious private master bathroom with garden tub, separate shower, His and Her vanities, and a door leading to the screened-in porch. The second level of the home has an upstairs den with a TV, a cozy chair and ottoman, and a sleeper sofa. Three additional bedrooms are off of the upstairs den. A queen bedroom has a wall-mounted TV and a private bathroom with a shower. Another bedroom has one twin over full bunk bed, a wall-mounted TV, and a private bathroom with a tub/shower combo. The third upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, wall-mounted TV, and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower.

On the main level, French doors open to the furnished deck and screened porch that offers a table with seating for four. The plunge pool is approximately 10 ft x 12 ft and is 4 ft deep.

The home is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guests do not have access to the garage.

This pool has an electric heater, so the pool may be heated in cooler months for $75/per day for the entire stay. It can take 24-48 hours for the pool water to reach the optimal temperature of 85-87 degrees. When the air temperature falls below 55 degrees, typically November-March, pool heaters have difficulty achieving the optimal temperature. In this case, pool heating will not be available.

The dimensions of the pool are 10' W x 12' L.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $300. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and more – the choice is yours!

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golfing on one of five world-class courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, and boating. Many families also enjoy the kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park.

Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston, famous for incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse-drawn carriage rides, historic landmarks, and sumptuous dining.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

This house was the perfect location for runners (like us), doing the Kiawah marathon. The bikes made it super fun and easy to explore the island and run small errands. The house is well laid out for a big family or group of friends. But what really made it for us was the customer service from AE. We’ve gone so far as to look at other areas where you manage property, so that we might rent from you again. Had a wonderful vacation at Kiawah. House is in a super location. We had 4 grandchildren under age of 7 and appreciated no lagoons close by and that we were on cul de sac where they were safe to ride bikes. Had two beach ramps close by which were not too far for family to navigate all our “stuff”. Loved the fact we could jump
Into the small pool to cool off. Great house for grandparents to sleep downstairs while parents and grandchildren were upstairs and didn’t hear them at night. We had small problem with ice maker and Akers Ellis sent employee Joe over within an hour and took care of it. I had several email questions and they would always respond within matter of a few minutes. Took poll of family and they would return to this house next year plus we were very pleased with Akers Ellis personnel!

Great house for families

The house worked out great for my daughter and her family, Husband, 3 year old son, and in laws. Kitchen was well equipped with cookware and serving dishes.
A heated pool would have been nice but the location made up for it.

Great location, comfortable house!

We loved our vacation at 116 Surfscoter Lane. Grandparents on one level; parents and kids on upper level. For noise level that was great. Loved being able to come home from beach or bike rides and jump in plunge pool to cool off! Location was excellent. Could hear ocean while on back deck; like the fact that no lagoons too close and 4 small children could be outside to play and to ride bikes on cul de sac.

Another great week in Kiawah

Great house for a large family. Loved that each bedroom had a private bath. The kitchen wasn’t that well equipped, but was fine. Wish it had a double oven and more dining space. Akers Ellis was very responsive to my maintenance requests. Having a pool was a bonus! Great spot for afternoon cocktails!

Nice property not too far from the beach

We had a nice stay here - two families each with two young kids (8 people total). The house was very comfortable for a group that size, though not really set up for younger children (like toddlers), but not a big complaint. The pool is very small, we didn't realize it was a plunge pool. But it was still nice to have for the kids to play in. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, but much easier to bike to. I highly recommend renting bikes for your stay, we loved being able to bike on all the trails. You can even bike up to Freshfields for breakfast or dinner, it's about a 20-30 minute easy ride, but you can do it in 15 if you don't mind arriving sweaty! The beach itself is lovely. The house was decorated nicely, and had basically all the things we needed. Only complaints would be poor quality of the nonstick cookware and a ****** coffeemaker that you couldn't program. No big deal at all, just would have been nice to wake up to coffee (#firstworldproblem) instead of waiting. Overall it was a beautiful home and we really enjoyed our stay.

Thanksgiving on Kiawah

Akers Ellis was very accommodating when we requested early check in/late check out. Short walk to the beach and all the comforts of home. My husband and I rented this property with another family of four, and there was more than enough room for all of us!

Family get away

This was a beautiful house in great proximity to the beach. It was a wonderful vacation for the entire family.One of the mattresses on the 2nd floor appeared old. Also there seemed to be quite a bit of mold around the washing machine door seal. Otherwise, this was a very nice beach house.

Amazing vacation home! We can't wait to go back!

This home has it all. It is beautiful from top to bottom. The finishes are top notch and the location is superb! Our family of five had all the room we needed to enjoy our vacation together and yet still have space to unwind in private. We loved that we could be at the beach within five minutes. We used a local bike rental company and spent most days sightseeing up and down the island beach on bike. We will definitely be back!!

Wonderful House

The house is beautiful, spacious, and in a very quiet, peaceful location. Every bedroom has it's own bathroom. It's a super quick walk or bike ride to the beach. You can hear the ocean from the back porch! We would definitely stay here again.

Miss it already

We had a great trip! this was our second time renting 116 Surfscoter and we were pleased to find a new grill and thought theproperty interior was cleaner than our last trip. I would give it a 4.5. Some things to note: many lightbulbs need changing throughout the home, the kitchen faucet is on it's last leg and often hard to shut off and the exterior needs some care (spider webs, weeds etc.). We miss Kiawah already!
