This designer appointed 3rd floor Shipwatch villa is an oasis of elegant tranquility with a soft contemporary vibe and is just steps to the beach. This villa is in the heart of the vibrant West Beach area with easy access to Kiawah’s main gate.

The living room offers a 55-inch Ultra HD Samsung flat screen TV, swivel arm chairs and a luscious couch. The fully equipped kitchen features quartz countertops, an induction cooktop, dishwasher, Monogram refrigerator, GE Advantium microwave/convection oven and four Lucite barstools.

The bedroom showcases a king bed with sumptuous bedding, black out curtains, a 48-inch Ultra HD Samsung flat screen TV and a door to the balcony. The updated bathroom features double sinks and a large tiled shower with a rainfall shower head. The covered balcony, accessible from the living room and bedroom, is the perfect spot to feel the ocean breeze as you relax on the comfortable deck chairs. The villa is equipped with wireless internet. Elevators provide easy access to the villa and community washers and dryers are provided within the building.

Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards bike rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $150. Please note: Within the Shipwatch community, this credit is only valid for bike rentals.

During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of paved flat bike trails, golfing on one of the five world-class courses (check out the beautiful Cougar Point course located a short walk from the villa), playing tennis or just spending the day splashing in the waves enjoying Kiawah Islands 10 mile of unspoiled pristine beaches. On weekend evenings enjoy the beautiful piano music at the Sanctuary Hotel Lobby Bar - an intimate space reminiscent of a parlor in a gracious Southern mansion from a bygone era. Also be sure to take a short bicycle ride to Freshfields Village, a unique open-air shopping and dining experience complete with more than 30 shops (including a well-stocked grocery store). Freshfields Village offers a diverse assortment of unique retail stores, restaurants, spa services, and a boutique hotel -Freshfields Village has something for everyone.

Kiawah Island is located about 40 minutes from historic Charleston which is chock-full of southern charm. Famous for its incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, the South Carolina Aquarium, horse drawn carriage rides and historic landmarks. Charleston has also become a world class culinary capital offering sumptuous dining options with food as rich in history as they are in flavor.

RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email.

The condominium is lovely! Both the kitchen and bathroom are large and well appointed. The very close access to the ocean is a plus. Akers Realty is very responsive to any need. We hope to stay there again.

This unit was very open and spacious. We loved the two sinks in the bathroom, spacious shower, and well equipped kitchen. The bed was comfortable and I loved the view from the bedroom. We would have appreciated a kitchen sponge and more than one roll of toilet paper, however that was probably just an oversight. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked for 2022 and can't wait.

We kicked off the beginning of our 50th wedding anniversary here...and it was a perfect start. The condo is clean and beautifully appointed. The kitchen is well equipped, the balcony a delightful spot for morning coffee and the location perfect. It is clear the owners are actively involved in the care of the condo want their guests to enjoy their stay.

Clean and close to the beach. You can tell the owners have a vested interest in the property. The bed was comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch. The balcony was nice but not much a beach view. We would stay here again. The management company was easy to work with for the booking and early check in.

I wanted to surprise my wife with a trip to celebrate our 15th anniversary. I searched for a villa that has updated style that I knew my wife would enjoy. This villa was better than expected.
The room has really cool decor that has been updated to a modern style but is still warm.
When we arrived the music was playing in a really nice sound system and the view of the ocean was beautiful and immediately relaxing.
The shower was very nice and the bathroom has plenty of room. Only complaint is the towels are very new and didn’t absorb very well during our stay.
The kitchen has everything we needed and has very nice custom finishes.
The entertainment systems in the living room and bedroom were great and high quality with access to cable, Netflix and Prime Video.
The California King bed is very comfortable and the ceiling fan was great. The closet space is very tiny but has premium hangers and a small dresser inside. It worked fine for us.
We are very happy with our choice of this property and are already making plans to return.

An impeccably appointed condo that is exactly as it appears on the site. It has a perfect location with ocean views from the balcony, perfect for morning coffee or evening wine. We have never rented a condo before, and this one far exceeded our expectations. The interior design was elegant and the view was everything we imagined. You could not top the access to the beach or the relative privacy. We plan to return next September.

Great week in Kiawah

We spent a lovely week in Kiawah in 2374 Shipwatch.
This one bedroom condo was perfect for our needs. We had a nice view and excellent access to the beach, plus the location of the condo to the front of Kiawah made it very convenient. The shower was terrific and the air conditioner kept the unit beautifully cool, in spite of the heat and humidity. We look forward to our next visit.

Beautiful Villa at the Perfect Location

Romantic villa with all the amenities including a great view of the beach. The updated decor was really nice and the rainforest shower was amazing. This was the perfect launching spot to hit the beach, go golfing or ride your bike.
This was truly the perfect getaway spot for our 15 year anniversary.

Great place—close to the beach!

Elderly Outing

As an older, single guest, my goal was to enjoy the ocean for three days as easily as possible; to have the elevator at the end of the beach access was perfect. I also appreciated the efficiency of all the online contact & direct check in with Akers; would choose them in the future because of it.

View even better than pictured

Great apartment with a lovely view of the beach. Huge bathroom, clean, and fully equipped kitchen. Couch is dated but no reason to spend too much time on it anyhow. Beach is much less crowded than others and the check-in process was smooth.

3 Day Shipwatch December 2018 Kiawah Vacation

Updated 1 bedroom with updated finishes. Bed very comfortable. Had issue with no blender that was quickly resolved by property management. Temperature in room was difficult to adjust. Felt like thermostat was a dummy t-stat. Partially restricted view of ocean but well kept grounds. Many deer sightings near property including two that were on the beach at water's edge.

A great getaway

My wife and I wanted some time together in a romantic, fun setting. This was the perfect setting.

The coffee maker didn't work on our first morning but the property manager had a replacement for us within an hour.

Great getaway!

As usual we had a great experience renting through Akers Ellis. The unit was perfect and we really enjoyed our trip. I would highly recommend our unit for a couple on a getaway. Great facility and well appointed. We were disappointed that the Straw Market had been demolished and are concerned that the new construction will change the experience in the future.

Clean, modern design villa steps from the beach

My husband and I stayed at Shipwatch in April to play golf and be close to the ocean. The villa is gorgeous inside, with a monochromatic creamy white modern decor. Very nicely appointed with SS appliances, lovely quality in the furnishings, beautiful serene bedrm, and bathroom. Perfect for a couple.

Excellent Kiawah property

Perfect unit for a couple with prime location and views of the beach/surf & lush vegetation of Kiawah Island. Located in the West Beach portion - you are close to everything by bike and the unit is gorgeous - beautifully renovated, bright, understated luxury. Blissful Week on Kiawah

I was looking for a relaxing week to unwind after months of hard work. 2374 Shipwatch Villa was a treat for sure. I found the clean lines of the interior design very soothing and luxurious. I loved the blackout shades and curtains in the Master Bedroom which allowed me to sleep in a couple of mornings! The villa is conveniently located to most amenities while offering privacy from the crowds. The property is well appointed, clean, and nicely maintained. I would highly recommend this property.
